About

I built Building Inspector AI to make building-code research faster, simpler, and more useful for the people actually doing the work.

As a building inspector, I know how much time can be lost digging through code books, local amendments, plan notes, and technical requirements just to answer one question.

Building Inspector AI is designed to help inspectors, contractors, plan reviewers, design professionals, municipalities, and homeowners get to the right information faster.

You can ask code questions, upload inspection photos, research code sections, and get plain-English explanations with code references.

I’m also developing tools like Residential Plan Review AI, which can help identify missing information, coordination issues, and likely correction items before plans get further into the review process.

More than anything, I want Building Inspector AI to be a practical tool people can actually use in the field, in the office, or during plan review—not just another AI website.

The goal is not to replace inspectors, engineers, architects, plan reviewers, or the Authority Having Jurisdiction.

The goal is to build practical AI tools that make their jobs easier.

Building Inspector AI will continue to grow based on real-world use, user feedback, and the problems people in construction deal with every day.
